Nightmare's ID3 Tagger

Description

Nightmare's ID3 Tagger is a Windows application to read and write ID3 tags. It also includes functions to create play lists and info lists which can be imported into a spreadsheet application like MS Excel.

Status

Current version is 1.03 [frozen]
Development status: suspended

Project has been suspended for the following reasions:

• implementation of ID3v2 tags is neither time nor cost efficient because of design and structure of the current code.
• I needed a program which runs under Linux.

In the meantime I started developing a new tagger named Tagger42 written completely in Java.
Java is a (more or less) platform-independent programming language. Programs written in this language run on all operating systema that have a Java Virtual Machine installed. This includes Windows 9x, NT, Sun Solaris, Linux, MacOS and many more.
So far, I finished a library to access MP3 files (see my projects page for details).

Disclaimer

The source code is far from flawless and should not be considered an example on how software development should be done. I started working on this project before I learned a lot about software engineering...
